Three new primary care physicians have recently joined Northwest Physicians, offering care at clinics in Springdale.
Blake Hansen, DO, a board-certified family medicine physician, is practicing at Northwest Medical Plaza - Springdale at 4077 Elm Springs Road, Suite 105. Dr. Hansen is a graduate of Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, with a bachelor's degree in public health. He earned his medical degree at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz. He then completed a family medicine residency at Marian Family Medicine Residency Program at Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, Calif. Cesar Hurtado, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician, is practicing at Northwest Medical Plaza - Eastside, which is located at 2158 Butterfield Coach Road., Suite 100. He speaks Spanish in addition to English. Dr. Hurtado is a graduate of University of Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in biology. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. Carlos Vela Sandoval, MD, a board-certified internal medicine physician, is practicing at Northwest Medical Plaza - Springdale. He speaks Spanish in addition to English. He relocated to Northwest Arkansas from Farmington, New Mexico where he worked as a hospitalist for the past 11 years at San Juan Regional Medical Center. Dr. Vela Sandoval was born and raised in Guatemala. He received his medical education from Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala, and completed an internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.
