Shiloh Christian's senior class has never ended a season anywhere but
War Memorial Stadium in the State Championship game.
The Saints defeated Camden Fairview 48-19 on Friday night to punch
their ticket to the Class 5A State Championship game. This is the
fourth straight season the Saints have made it to the finals, although
this is their first year in Class 5A with the other 3 coming in Class 4A.
Shiloh Christian (12-1) will take on Little Rock Parkview at noon next
Saturday.
Quarterback Eli Wisdom went out in his final home game at Champions
Stadium with a bang. He rushed for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns, with
TD runs of 55, 12, 25 and 2 yards.
Junior running back Bo Williams racked up over 200 all-purpose yards
and 3 touchdowns on the night. Williams also went over 2,000 yards on
the season.
"After we got within a score, they hit us with a big play," Fairview Coach
Nick Vaughn said. "A couple of mistakes and busted plays put them
back up two scores and we just never could get it going offensively
after that."
The score ballooned to 34-14 when Williams scored his third rushing
touchdown of the game from 27-yards out. Williams finished with 151
yards on 25 carries.
Shiloh Christian extended the margin to 41-13 on the third play of the
fourth quarter when Wisdom scored his third touchdown one play after
a holding penalty negated a touchdown pass to Neal. He later added a
2-yard touchdown run.
"What a tremendous honor for this senior class to go to the state
championship game four years in a row. This is not normal and may we
never take it for granted."
