For years on Live Springdale it has been my running joke that any time
I mention a new restaurant coming it will only be a matter of seconds
before someone comments asking when we are getting a Chik Fil A.
They will usually tell me how many locations surrounding cities have
and how badly we need one here. How successful it would be if only
we had one.
Well, it seems the residents of Springale will get the chance to prove that sooner rather than later. In a regularly scheduled meeting of the Springdale City Council the 20.83 acres containing the parcel of land that has widely been discussed and rumored to be the future location of Chik Fil A was rezoned from A-1 or Agricultural to C-5 or Thoroughfare Commercial District. This paves the way for the area to begin it's transformation into retail, restaurant and office spaces with open green spaces and water features.
I'm thankful for the investment Gary George and his family are making in the future of Springdale and the quality of life items they will be adding to the area.
