As we enter the 4th month of the shutdown due to the COVID-19 virus
many Arkansans have been left wondering when life may begin to
return to normal. For many working from home has become the norm.
Wearing a mask and practicing social distancing have become a part
of their everyday routine to accomplish simple tasks we've always
taken for granted. Today we got an answer as to when the state will
take further steps toward opening up and allowing business to operate
at normal capacity.
At his daily press conference Governor Asa Hutchinson announced
that on Monday, June 15th Arkansas will enter Phase 2 of the
reopening plan. The items listed below are some of the changes that
may effect your everyday life. "Americans are on the move and they
can't be tied down," Hutchinson said. He believes based on what has
provided to him and Dr. Nathaniel Smith that we will see multiple peaks
and valleys as it pertains to the number of cases we see.
Restaurants, Gyms and Health and Beauty Salons that have been
limited to just 33% capacity will now be able to move to 66% capacity.
They will still be required to practice the 6 foot social distancing
guidelines. Non-essential travel will now be permitted thus allowing
many who have planned vacations in and around our state to move
freely without pushing back against state mandates.
As more guidelines become available we will provide those to you.
