The United States Census was first inaugurated in 1790 to keep a
count of the numbers of people living there and to divide appropriately
tax revenue from the state and federal governments and other
programs on a per person basis. The 2020 Census will be incredibly
important for Springdale as we have grown remarkably since the last
census was taken a decade ago in 2010.
In 2014, when I founded Live Springdale, it was our purpose to find
ways to promote positivity and generate revenue to improve the quality
of life for our citizens. One of the greatest ways we can accomplish that
is to get a proper census count thus ensuring we receive our proper
share of tax revenue from the state and federal turnback programs.
Over the next few weeks and months we will be running stories and
reminders to encourage you to participate in the census process.
Our family has completed our census and the form takes
approximately 3-5 minutes depending on how many members there
are of your household. This will benefit you, your family and your future
generations for decades to come.
