Casey's Turns Dirt at West End and Sunset,
Townhomes to Follow
Year after year as development crept further West down Hwy. 412 one
piece of property in the middle of town sat idle. Dr. Dorman had his
medical practice just to the East of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Until
just recently the only thing that sat on this property was the Super
Mercado Mi Hacienda across from Susan's. More recently in
November of 2018 the new Dairy Queen opened its doors in
Springdale and the property began to take shape.
If you pass by the property today you will see heavy equipment turning
dirt in preparation of the new Casey's General Store that will be built at
the Southeast corner of West End and Sunset Avenue. Just to the
South of the Casey's you can find Wesley road that runs a short
distance to the East. Developers Philip Taldo and Brian Moore
received Council approval at Tuesday nights meeting to begin
construction on 66 townhomes to line the cul-de-sac on Wesley and
provide more multi-family options for the residents of Springdale.
As 2020 rolls into full swing we will have many more stories about new
business and development that has been on the drawing board in
Springdale and is now being brought to light.
