Coronavirus Has Many Effects On Springdale
Citizens, What Has Changed
Well, unless you live in a cave high up in the mountains, under a rock
with no access to the outside world of any kid by now you know life as
we know it is both moving alarmingly fast and coming to a standstill.
COVID-19, more commonly known as Coronavirus, seems to have
permeated every aspect of our lives. From our workplaces to our
entertainment and our children's schools to major sporting events all
over the country.
Here are some things that have been announced in case you missed
them...
- University of Arkansas will go to exclusively online classes for the rest
of the Spring semester.
- Arkansas State Capitol is closed to the public.
- Springdale Chamber of Commerce cancels Morning Brew for 2
weeks.
- Springdale Public Schools announces it is using hospital grade
cleaner and prepares to possibly move classes to an online system.
- SEC Men's Basketball Tournament was cancelled.
- NCAA cancelled all Men's and Women's Winter and Spring sports
and Championships through the end of the year.
While there have been many other announcements we believe some
of these to directly effect our people here in Springdale. As we hear of
other important news we will share it as well.
I hope this is a time where we see the best in people. I hope we see
neighbors helping neighbors. Whether it is with their children who are
out of school or the toilet paper they couldn't find at the store. It is at
times like these where we reveal the true heart and soul of America.
The best of who we are as a people. Let us not be mislead by the
panic and falsehood that we are so different and divided, but let us
show the world how much we care for and take care of each other in
times of crisis here in America.
I will do my best to help keep you posted as best I can on matters that
affect us directly. God Bless.
