Councilman Fulfer Steps Down; Looks Toward a
Future of Service
Resignation
Mayor Sprouse,
After much discussion with my family I am formally announcing my
resignation from the Springdale City Council effective February 29,
2020. I have greatly enjoyed serving as a council member since the
2016 election and I hope that my service will be looked upon as
beneficial to the people of the City of Springdale. But I am confident
that this is the appropriate direction for me to take as I contemplate
future endeavors. It has been a pleasure to serve and work alongside
you and the other council members. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Colby Fulfer
From Mr. Fulfer
I have loved serving on the Springdale City Council. I've probably
stepped beyond my role a few times due to my desire to be involved
and get into the details. I have enjoyed walking through the budget
each year, appropriating $180,000,000.00 in bond projects, helping
small business owners, being a friend to our building and development
community and even the campaigning process.
My family will be moving to a home outside of my ward. Rachel and I
have remodeled one of our homes and will be taking up residence
there this weekend. It happens to be my childhood home that I was
raised in, right here in the heart of Springdale. Unfortunately the law
restricts me from serving out the last months of my term while living at
this residence because it is outside of my ward.
I will continue to look for ways to serve our community in the future. For
now, I am confident that this is the appropriate direction for me to take
as I contemplate future endeavors.
