The Springdale exits off of I-49 are becoming quite the medical corridor from Don Tyson Parkway up to Elm Springs Road. Northwest Medical and Mercy Hospital Systems both built facilities on either side of I-49 at Elm Springs. Arkansas Children's Northwest built their regional facility costing approximately $180 million at Genre George and Watkins and word has it another medical building will accompany that one in the near future. Highlands Oncology is in the construction phase of a regional office on the South side of Don Tyson and will soon have a new neighbor.

USAble Corp., a subsidiary of Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, has purchased 8.81 acres on the northwest corner of Don Tyson and I-49 for $3.8 million. Currently they employ approximately 40 employees here in Northwest Arkansas, but their growing workforce made necessary the purchase to build expanded offices. They plan to break ground in the Spring of 2020.
