Don Eichenberger has served the children of the Springdale School District
for over 25 years. On Wednesday the students had the opportunity to
celebrate him as he was named the 2019 Arkansas Assistant Principal of
the Year. Over the years he has become known to many simply as Coach
Ike. Serving as assistant boys basketball coach and head track coach as
well as being the Supervisor of the IT Academy.
More recently Coach Ike has been the Assistant Principal and Dean of Students at the Archer Learning Center Alternative High School and is currently employed as an Assistant Principal at Springdale High School, the state's 4th largest high school.
