Rhett Lashlee is becoming a household name around the country. The
Springdale native and Shiloh Christian graduate leads an SMU offense
each Saturday that currently ranks in the Top 10 in the country. The
Mustangs rank #6 in the FBS in scoring offense and are currently 9-1 and
ranked #20 in the AP Poll.
Before his time at SMU Lashlee was the Offensive Coordinator at UCONN,
Auburn and Samford as well as an assistant at Arkansas State. During his
prep days in Arkansas he was a prolific passer who threw for over 13,000
yards and 171 touchdowns under current Auburn Head Coach Gus
Malzahn. He lead his team to the state championship game in all 3 years.
Lashlee is a two time finalist for the Broyles Award, given to the nation's top
assistant, and has been named to the watch list again in 2019. As the
Razorbacks search for the new Head Hog his name is sure to come up in
some circles given his ties to Arkansas.
